Jacob Chacko-I Will Follow (Till The Ends Of The World)
Your dopamine rush doesn't have to be so short-lived. Jacob Chacko has always orientated his music to the positivity we used to lean towards as humans. His latest single is the opening from his EP, Give Me The Good Stuff. The track has a bluesy feel to it, the groove running deep with catchy elements and a great rise towards the chorus. This is the kind of song that you can instantly sing along to, your family becoming a natural choir to Jacob’s sweet vocals. I love how the verse sections have a light drizzle of guitar notes, with the percussion riding strong – leading to a chorus where the contrast is true. The EP in itself is brilliant; Chacko’s dedication to spreading joy and excitement through his music is undeterred. It’s the kind of music you’d follow till the end:
Outlaw Cartier-lil runaway
A rainy day, neon-lit signs and your windows slightly down – just to get that titillating splash of water every once in a while. Outlaw Cartier has been able to create a blend of music that is so linked with emotion and scenario; it's like a movie playing out in front of you. The latest song from the Philadelphia-based musician has bright guitar tones which have dark undertones in the composition. The atmosphere whizzes past, yet always surrounds you as the synthwave-styled percussion comes in. Very quickly the music becomes familiar to every listener. Vocals are soothing yet carry a certain secret in the narrative. Haunting harmonics in the background almost mourn for this runaway, yet are strengthened with a certain hope. It is a vision through music of contrasts, brilliant composition and crafting simplicity:
Fiona Amaka-Love that fills my world-Acoustic version
If you want a story woven into every song you listen to, Fiona Amaka is one artist to look out for. With a story that is empowering as much as it is inspiring, this artist has been able to create her very own cocoon in the world of indie music where she is recognised instantly. Her single Love that fills my world has emotive guitar parts that complement her strong, impactful vocals. Vibratos linger for a moment, driving home the beautiful lyrics Fiona has written. It’s almost like a campfire track, where an intimate audience surrounds Fiona and she sings like no one is watching. There are elegant harmonic guitar parts that are the flying sparks from the embers, while Fiona herself becomes the fuel of this song. It is love the world is supposed to experience now:
