Kallai-Falling
Let space churn into a moment for you. Kallai are a band hailing from Portland, and they have found a niche in making melodies that learn to stay with you, or rather you, with them. Falling is the latest addition to their catalogue of music that resonates with harmony, creating a ripple effect of wondrous change. Soft percussions pair with the string instrumentals that haver a cocoon like effect around you. Like their songs like The Wave & Palisades, the feeling is what is enunciated through the music playing. It is interesting to experience, groove and move to while feeling the luxury of the notes carry a certain lightness. Perhaps why you can fall into the track without any strings, and still feel levitation:
Book of Moods-Holidays
Expect a cinematic retreat. This band from Paris is not here to synthesise mundane moments around you that you can accept. This is generating visuals that have made you dream, yearn and listen for more. Holidays is from their latest EP Dreams, and it has the kind of opening you’d expect in a rom-com movie. Soft instrumentals, wonderful harmonies come together and ring out with a certain joy. When the funky groove comes in, you enjoy a certain tale told as torn pages from a journal. Simple chord progressions with a conversational lyrical experience. They take you to sandy beaches, bring interactions to the surface while exploring the depth behind it through the music. This is music not made by an individual, but a band. Really:
Chords of Indigo-The Thread
Music that can leave you guessing. That is what Chords of Indigo are able to construct with their incredible music. The Thread finds the connection between something missing, and something lost. From the lyrical delivery to the kind of melodies that the band uses as a symphonic background is something refreshing; untouched by the filthy fringes of artificial intelligence. Everything here is to absorb, genuine and reflective of the genre and how tightly the song is composed. Articulated with a unique groove that keeps building with a balance-this is your totem to grab on to. Every aspect of the song has been thought through, the bass line, bridge, verses leading to chorus while linking to the human aspect of it all. This is your thread:
