Lost Velvet-Make It Alright

Pop your floaters on, you’re slipping through a crack in a dream. Lost Velvet have always been incredible in the kind of aesthetics they are able to create sonically. It’s all finally come together in Endless EP, a crescendo of explorations where a duo has found their sound in one tightly packed niche. Make It Alright buzzes with that from the beginning, a neon light that leaves a warm hue to the room. In an instance, it will explode it into a nebula of a thousand colours. While having the aggression, they are able to capture the dreamscape aspect with a certain precision, which is brilliant considering the kind of aural chambers they are trying to create. They are an absolute favourite for a wandering, late night drive. It might be all burning now, but this will make it alright:

GAZ-Let It Roll

Remember those days when rock plastered a smile across your face. Put your hands together in glee, for that sound is back with GAZ. Their latest single called Let It Roll is the “good time” nugget of every line of “good time rock and roll” that you have heard. It bounces with positivity, has delicious bluesy licks along with layered instrumental aspects that make it a baroque delight. The human feel in the song is beyond anything you’ll hear in your rock playlists for a long time. GAZ are Jordi Perdigo, Albert Perdigo & Josep Antoni Lopez-but they are one soul when they perform. A power packed song with all the right moods, the band from Barcelona has been a tale to tell for the past 20 years. Lots of chemistry to unpack, so let’s get going!:

The Gilhoolys-Bad Routine

Melodies that will remain with you. The Gilhoolys are here to make merry, but also spin some surreal tales and tunes into your head. Their single Bad Routine has a spaced out, relaxed melody-but comes with climbs and roll downs like any natural flow should be. The vocals are stand out, having a dynamic movement that uses the palette of the track like a roller coaster rail. We go up and down, wait for the chorus and something memorable hits; and sticks. The Gilhoolys bring a traditional spin to an alt rock sound that is reminiscent of many decades of rock together. It isn’t etched together as a radio rock hit, rather a tale where you’re thoroughly invested and want to experience the whole thing. So here it goes!:
