Lucky Duck-fadin’
Lucky Duck voices the thoughts that we all have but don't know how to put into words. This artist adds another layer and sometimes contradictory, offbeat, or harmonic melodies through these musings. This is their latest offering, an incredible album called SANITY. Developed over 6 years, you can see not only the range of influences this artist has but also how easily they navigate between them. This song fadin’ is the second song, having that indie rock energy while balancing it with the alt-pop roundedness. It’s smooth like whisky, yet has a citric bite when you focus on the lyrics. The track is what you get as an avant-garde edge over Frank Black's concept of The Pixies. The versatility shines through, and the effort of putting in details through every moment can really be appreciated. Check out fadin’ here and the rest of SANITY. It’s inked from all our psyches:
L'Extravagante-Carpenter
This collective is the distillation of a million dreams around the world. Four individuals met in London and decided their passion led them to this place. L'Extravagante tour the themes of synth pop and find a rhythm in it that makes them stand out as a group. Carpenter debuted with Jungle and XxX, and they blew minds away with their confluence of art, honesty, and edges that they refused to file down. In moments you can almost hear the vocals sounding like Prince, and though there is a poppy, bouncy vibe to the background of the song, an inner melancholy cannot be ignored. Especially the chorus seems like a moment of levitation, matching the speed you’re cruising at yet making you wonder. Pair this with their other new release Dynamite, and you have a party till midnight:
