Omnesia-Days and Nights

It’s like running into a field full of fireflies. I thought about it for sometime, and Omnesia’s new song has a very exact happy vibe for me. Days and Nights is upbeat, soft melodies that are passionate and can become a memories theme track for you. It is pop rock but richly populated with several layers of melodies. I liked how dense and powerful the bass was along with the dominating piano and guitar parts. The duo from Oakland, CA bring their own unique touch to the song, without over-complicating the central essence behind the song. Instead of making a generic bridge, you’re treated to an all new sub-genre of sound with an INSANE keys solo I would have never predicted there. These are the kinds of days and nights I want to experience:

Every Other Weekend-Come Back (When You Feel Like)

This is 90s nostalgia, accelerated to our times. A memory of a person and a melody associated with them will never escape your minds. Every Other Weekend designs a beautiful song here, an architecture that is splendid to experience in every space. You might have heard Resolution, an acoustic gem that Every Other Weekend released in 2021. Essentially this project is a musician’s dream-pursuing a style that is specific to them, while good friends help out. The tune has that familiar swing, yet is textured enough for you to enjoy the precious layers in lyrics and grooves he captures through the composition. A charging, passionate track with an essence of songwriting that seems to be waning away in the age of AI. The track is always there, you can come back…:

Shell Pink-Weird Fish

Vintage California never sounded so pretty. Inspired by the melodies of Cali, Shell Pink is bringing a sound that not many are bold enough to rest their feet on. This EP, Rogue Waves has some incredible tracks composed but I’ll keep it to the one that took my breath away, Weird Fish has a strong bassline, powerful beat structure and that vintage flush on the vocals that is dopamine in a Tupperware box, for you to access anytime. It buzzes with purpose, has bold enough tones so that you can really groove and latch on to something. The West Coast and his New England roots truly blend to give you an output that is inspired of the place and time. A blend that sonically arranges itself to be the picturesque valley that has inspired so many musicians. Come on, take a dive in:
