Paper Crown-Four Leaf Clover

I obsessed about this song till I thought in verses. Paper Crown are a Norwegian duo that come off as a delight from the first moment you listen to their music. Their latest EP, Letters, feels personal and vulnerable, and the state of wavering, emotion-laced music seems to be a rare strain in a world flooded with AI slop. Four Leaf Clover buzzes with unique energy, refreshing to listen to while at the same time adding a lot of depth like a pop-funk groove. The chorus is completely unexpected, changing depth and adding to the thematic jump from the verse section. I loved the layers leading with the vocals when the percussions get stripped away. Johanne Kippersund is bringing a feel to the song you cannot fabricate and guitarist Ørnulv Snortheim brings us grooves that feel illegal to enjoy while bobbing your head. Vincent J. Rigney – Tidal Wave of Love

Remember how radio rock used to have you grooving till you saw the sun rise from the horizon? Vincent J. Rigney knows how to jimmy the axe, and he’s quick with getting a ridiculously fun groove. Tidal Wave of Love doesn’t need a long-standing opening; it starts with a funky riff that makes you want to get dancing loafers on. His vocals are soothing, yet strong enough to lead. The bassline buzzes with an exciting energy, and the dramatic narrative will remind you of the retro years that you grew up with. If not, kid, you better listen up to what this Western kind of tune can do for you. After a moment, this becomes something of a second-hand memory, and you sing along like an excited kid. I loved the tasteful solo lacing the energy of the song it's already carrying. Listen to the track here, and don’t forget to crank up the sound!
