Riveting raucous 3 in 1 indie rock this week with tracks from Para Lia, My Satellite & History of Guns

Indie rock goes several shades of the sun with expressive rock from Para Lia, My Satellite & History of Guns. Listen to their tracks and make sure to give them a follow!:

Para Lia-Mind Song

The addictive swing of Para Lia doesn’t need to be advertised. The music says a lot about the band with such great chemistry. A beautiful mixture of The Cure and the New Wave movement, their trajectory will take you places. Their latest single called Mind Song has an addictive opening hook that will have you humming it through your journey to work. Layers line up like a stack of rainbow records-vocals being supported with harmonics and powerful, commanding instrumental parts. The Yellow Rose band knows how to design a great chorus and stick to the kind of sound that inspired them to begin music. Evolving ambiences will take your brain to different nodules of the song, leading to one impressive crescendo:

My Satellite-Minotaur

Expressions devoid of darkness-encompassing all the colours of the psyche. This is what My Satellite is able to create with their music, something that is dreams expressed into melodies. Minotaur is the opening single from their latest album, Person, and it is an exciting single to say at the least. The odd time staccato is overlaid with sweet vocals and expressive lyrics. When the build is inevitably rising, you can hear the themes intersect to become a bejewelled sonic sphere. You can hear the moment when the psychedelia is infusing itself like an effervescence. Like the songs of Pineapple Thief, there is a balanced eclectic dance between concepts that only this band can pull off. Masters of their own style, here is Minotaur:

History of Guns-Little Miss Suicide (25)

For a band that began in 1996 and have been an integral part of the underground movement, History of Guns are a refreshing take on retro. While bands create replicas of the music of that time, History of Guns are the real deal. Little Miss Suicide is their single that is collaborative of atmospheres and industrial rock flashes. You can hear from the chugging chorus what they’re able to bring to their original sound. Overlaps in instrumentals have electronic experimentation, along with drastic switches and hints of disarray. It is the kind of sound that is avant-garde of the time, yet is able to bring a signature aesthetic to a band that has evolved through the years.  Check out their track here:
