Hail the synth lord, for he has arrived again. Josh Kreuzman has been creatively exploring the marriage of psychedelia and synthwave with his music, and he has struck gold once again. Twice Dark is the kind of project where you know exactly what you are going to get- essentially trippy music with a groove that makes the valleys of the Himalayas look like skin pores. He knows how to channel an ambience, and keep the dark theme through his creative storytelling. When he draws back the instrumentals-his voice has a projection of energy that tributes The Cure and Joy Division while being its own true niche. David Lussier-Drift and Drown
Welcome polymath David Lussier to the stage. He might be an extremely creative musician who is on his kaleidoscopic spiral of composing expressive indie rock. He is also 100 other things, and all of them input cleverly into the kind of music he makes. Drift and Drown shows him using several trails of rock reveries to bring us great lyrical hooks and rhythmic ravines. The In a Little Town musician has been able to chisel a moment in his music that is as erudite and unique as he is. The time signatures are as playful as him, and is like diving into the mind swirls of insanity and reality. A place where you can find new avenues, and get lost in them:
Ethan Gold-I’m in the Moon
Hopping on the lunar face, Ethan Gold has gone through several phases. Perhaps that explains his connection with the moon. On the path to recovery from performing on stage, there is definitely a perspective shift that comes in his compositions. The Songs from A Toxic Apartment musician showed how much he’s worth his salt in the acclaimed album, but this is a shift that is versatile in frequencies. A thick, bouncy bass line lifts his vocals and creates an ambience that is cinematically simple, yet detailed through the narrative he proposes. His versatile vocal performance can depict charm, nonchalance and passion all within one line. It is the ecstasy of a performer whose medicine lies in his vice as well.
