Molly Baker-Big Mistake
With a wide-ranging interest in music, multi-instrumentalist and dopamine ambassador Molly Baker returns with her latest release. Big Mistake is a culmination of superb production, brilliant vocals and lyrics that resonate with generations. From the instrumental notational choices to the ridiculously catchy chorus section-she’s captured lightning in a bottle. Tones are apt for the kind of vocals she has, harmonics create an angelic surround that strike the right chords. The balance on the song is what makes you want to groove to it-while you feel all centred and happy. The layered audio just makes it the tasty cherry on top of the cake. Don’t try to skip this one, it might be, well, a big mistake:
Anacy-Tattooed To My Heart
The brilliant singer from South Africa has a tune that will etch itself to your conscience. Her treble is a unique range, while vocal textures and melodies are sweet complements to the percussive shade. They all fit naturally, the buzz of love and the small addictions that become your mental canvas. The Delight singer keeps surprising us her compositions and chances she takes at alt-pop. Versatility shines through, as she characterises each song to be within her perspective-with a glaze of relatability. From when she started with Hot Mess, she’s comfortable in her own skin, yet vulnerable when the moment arrives. This is a tag to your heart that you just can’t resist:
Twice Dark-Invisible Man
Tune into synth pop skies with the brilliance of Twice Dark. The way he can visualise notes in space constitutes a whole other spectrum. From his hot single Telekinetic reverberating with passion, this one is a bio on someone who doesn’t exist. He brings Ralph Elisson’s novel with a sharp take from the apparitions' perspective. As interesting as the storytelling is, even better is the ambience that is created around the character. The sound design is incredible, stereo and depth being utilised to add dimensions to the tale. Josh Kreuzman is an inspired composer, and Twice Dark is the culmination of several layers of imagination. He has been recognised, with a halo around him:
