King Ropes bring refreshing indie rock with Radio Jane

King Ropes don’t bring in the groove without the moves. The indie band is known for some amazing music-a catalogue that is growing with its own organic steam power. Taking indie rock to its own heights and etching a Mount Rushmore you can own is a whole other deal. It also helps that they’re having extreme doses of fun in the process. This is their latest single, Radio Jane.

The groove lives on, and charges this song. Soft harmonies play with the gruff guitars-a marriage that classic rock used to lean towards. Lyrical pockets make you patiently wait for the melodies to grow in the background. It is this minimal canvas that allows King Ropes to etch the sketch from scratch. It is a radio rock song, fittingly, as Radio Jane will become one of their hottest songs. While their inspirations lie in the radio rock that dominated their childhoods, perhaps, they make ours a little more colourful.

The attempt is exciting, and shows a brilliant move from the rock band. The trio have been creating some great jams, which we heard in their 2022 album Super Natural. With that wordplay, you have my vote every time. Thematically, they always push to explore more. King Ropes is for those who want the envelope of the indie rock scene to change shape. It is music, for music’s sake. They do a damn good job of making every word stick, with passion. Listen to the track here:
