Mohawk Castle is the post dream cloud you love to get lost in. The solo project of Erik David Hidde, this project explores a different thematic soundscape. A spatial exercise as much as it is a journey through unique sound, this song is going to weave a cocoon to escape in around you. This is called Crawl to Me.
You’re introduced into a rich, ambient chamber the moment you press play. Mohawk Castle uses a single note to ring like a silken siren in the background, while vocals reverberate against the walls of your head. A lead melody finds its own journey, while softer percussions will enter this generous bed of sound. It is an amazing single, everything measured by the pulse of your heart. If there are harmonics that diffuse with Erik’s voice, they offer an aided echo that adds dimension.
It is an emotional journey to express yourself through, and the song is a treat to hear. The Cold Beat singer makes the journey an experience through light and sound, where each note has a deliberate action in your head. Echoing with conviction, this will bring you to your knees.
