Subatomic Strangers sail through a prog rock smash with their latest, "The Edge"

Subatomic Strangers are the flaming fire for the waning strength. They are the kind of band that have amalgamated the best of what they have grown up with, and are inspired by. Their 2022 album Special Satellite put the band on the map for a special kind of experience in music. The Belgian band is here with their latest single, and it's worth the 2-year wait. This one is called The Edge.

Subatomic Strangers

The melody makes all the difference. It is the carpet you walk, the air you breathe in a fresh new environment. Subatomic Strangers make a lingering melody that alternates with Sharon Braye’s vocals. Rhythms are spaced out, leaving enough vibrancy for your imagination to go wild. The mystery then unfolds, creating quite the texture with harmonics.

How they balance aural play is what is fascinating. The band has found a chemistry in their sound not many can boast of. Tones are balanced, studied, before giving the performance of a lifetime. The Edge is the band giving their best, while growing in their sound. Variations in the second verse will show you how the edge is getting sharper, while they stand proudly on.

Nicholas Vermeersch, Jonas Vanelstlande & Mathijs Vrielynck develop a lush and rich melodic section in the background that complements Sharon’s singing as well as the synth effects. It is a walk into the prog-rock realm, while still sticking to their guns and exploring a whole new facet to their music. This is their mysterious, evocative and inventive single called The Edge.
