Rock brings a retro return with some unique music from Siren, CARUS & Nashville Phil. Listen to their latest numbers and follow them for more to come!:

Siren-Siren Heroine

Songs of the Siren will pull you in with magnetic might. Siren Heroine comes from a musician who is able to delve into an atmosphere of ambiences and melodies with an industrial touch. Her latest single is a vibe of powerful effect, touching you like powerful tides. Immediately, you’re transported to the depths of the ocean to something that evolves as an aesthetic. You will have the chorus going along in the back of your mind-while the poetic lyrics have a filter, almost as though it's coming from underwater. Harmonics have been designed in such a way that you’re pulled into the whirlpool of music that has been created. You can hear the cinematic composers guiding her style as well as music of legends like Lana Del Rey. The siren’s call:

CARUS-Wisch Wisch

This post new wave essence is just another feeling overall. Wisch Wisch might not be something a traditional English speaker would understand, but the messaging is deeper than that. What connected with me is the hopeful nature of the melody after something that sounded like a monotone. After the spoken word section, the verse section showed waves of indietronica having the synth wave touch to it as well. When the chorus comes along, there’s no doubt you’ll find yourself singing ‘wisch wisch’ along with the lyrics. This is the kind of energy that actually transcends language- and you can see how CARUS has done so while being genuine to the genre she chose. Listen to her tracks and make sure you stay tuned, for a lot more is coming this way:

Nashville Phil-Arm Wrestling Jesus

You're hearing an important voice from the Americana underground. Nashville Phil has always been a storyteller, his country music having a very realistic edge to it. From tonal satire to well written stories delivered in a ditty-he has a take in music that will keep you tuned. His latest single is called Arm Wresting Jesus, an absurd story spun through the absurd stories and superstitions people believe in. From "I don't need no Gypsy woman to see my sign", to walking under ladders or passing people on stairs; he gives a scathing representation of fear and reservation people live in, even in this time and age. With every verse, the observations are more astute and relevant, keeping a steady groove in the song like a well paced tale. May he produce more brilliant tracks like this, no need to touch wood:
