Now this is what I call a debut. Ronnie might just be your around-the-block falling-in-love-with-rock kind of kid, but the inspiration and drive he brings to his music are commendable. His first track ever is called "Love on Demand," something that started out as an idea on the phone and developed into a full-blown production that has charging guitars, kickass percussion, and an A phaser effect from the '90s that I truly genuinely missed. It's these kinds of details that you never get from machine-made music. It is the thought behind the thumping soul, the very zing a track is allowed to carry. Ronald Cabrera gives us charismatic lyrics along with towering guitars and a wall of sound that will no doubt become part of his defining legacy in indie rock music. This rocker from Bogota, Colombia, is going places, and his shotgun seat is free for now, if you want to hop in:

James Lloyd Smith-The Fountain

If you ever wonder why this track is called "The Fountain," here's a theory: the way the acoustic guitar riff starts and layers slowly cascade over it to form gorgeous harmonies. James Lloyd Smith knows the dopamine junkie generation need something that will get their blood rushing, but this isn’t for them. Exercise patience, and you hear the kind of melodic structure and background section movies don’t have the depth in thought for. He allows the song to breathe well, with the instrumental itself having that percussive tap running like a pulse within it. By the time the drums softly appear, you hardly even notice it. Pair this with Mystery, Favourite Colour and Lake Walk to feel like you’re surfing on a gentle breeze. When the layers build, whether you are driving on a straight highway or not, you will see a thematic ocean appear. Don't hesitate to drive along it:

Clayton Bellamy-I Miss Tom Petty

Like me and the thousand others who will be listening to this track and saying the same: we are with you. We all miss the legendary songwriting and performances of the late great Tom Petty. Clayton Bellamy brings his textural musicality and heartfelt songwriting one step closer to the Wildflowers' singer with his latest track. I Miss Tom Petty has songwriting fit to salute the legend, Instrumental layers that withhold dexterity and carry a sense of pride and style. He takes you back to the years when you would have listened to Petty for the first time, either on your cassette tape or when you found that perfect frequency on the radio.
