Bring the rock scene back to life with music from Lana Crow, Tahani and Mick J Clark. This year is off to a great start, listen to their music here!:
Lana Crow-What Brings You Back
The only logic it makes is that her name is the combination of Lana Del Ray and Sheryl Crow. From her vocals to her alive, breathing soundscapes, there is nothihng short of a pill of ecstasy this Kazakh-born singer gives us with her music. What Brings You Back has the synthpop background with chord progressions in the background, while her lyrics cut through the silence. Rather than over-producing her vocals, you can hear them straight, layered on top of the vocal embellishments. In the verse section, she carries on slow and eventually builds pace for the release during the chorus. Whether you’re talking about the themes in Orwellian Times or the ballad like joy of I Do, Lana Crow accents emotion and style in every song. She’ll know how to bring you back:
Tahani-17
Every singer who started early has an anthem that they associate with. Not only does it show emotional coming of age, but how one progresses through the trenches of life. Tahani has expressed her vocals through some brilliant ambient soundscapes, with her voice standing out. In this pop gem, Tahani has let loose to create a track even Olivia Rodrigo wouldn’t be able to produce with genuinity. Whether it’s reflections on being a teen always or having that energy of youth dictate terms and always remain a free spirit, Tahani is able to imbibe that and much more with this track. It also shows her ridiculous range in genres, if she had not depicted it already vocally from her previous releases. This is the kind of escape you want to feel, go back decades:
Mick J Clark-Just Gimmie Some Lovin’
The pole position rock star has returned. From Christmas tracks to love ballads that take you back to that car radio static, Mick J Clark has been an integral part of our lives, whether you realise it or not. His latest album Pole Position goes to show how well he can claim the moment and give us rock like we never left the 80s. Many artists cheaply imitate the aesthetic, but as someone who grew up listening to that music in their formative years, Mick has more than enough to say, sing and praise from that rich decade. Just Gimmie Some Lovin’ has licks, frills, vocal rushes and harmonies that you can’t stop yourself from singing. You might not be able to sing like Mick, but hey, sing like no one is watching, even if they all are:
