Rita De Los Angeles-Keep To Myself
You need an anthem to resonate with your life currently. Introverted? Rita De Los Angeles has got you. The singer-songwriter from Los Angeles now settled near Cologne, Germany has some charming music to get lost in. With a unique rhythm, there is a chugging percussive moment in how she strums itself. Vocals are quick rhymes, with harmonics layered with reverberating electric guitar elements. For someone who has taken up singing much later, there is a power and passion in her voice that makes the song ring out with positivity. A slight melancholy strings itself around the song, yet it is commanding with her perspective. The Slow Dancing singer has found a sound that is originally hers, here it is:
The Venz-Slow Motel
A debut should have a splashing impact. It is the kind of kick that defines a career, showcases a style-a duo in this case. Opening with an acoustic strum, there is an exciting attack on the sound that is charming and zealous. Like the post grunge movement, the verse is minimal with piano accents, while percussions punctuate moments. Harmonics are perfectly fitting for the kind of chorus they have designed. The walls of the motel are designed around you, while you seemingly emote through the motion. Lyrically, they explore the narrative very well, The Venz collaborating with the kind of chemistry they should be exuding as well. Pauses and plays are utilized extremely well, leading to a cascade:
The All’s Eye-The Simian
You deserve an easygoing long drive vibe. Luckily, Ari Joshua and his band are here to send in the good vibrations. The Simian is a textured, layered rock song with all the effects of a well constructed song. Each pocket gets its own attention, while having a plug and play feel behind the groove. Softly delivered vocals almost bring a psychedelic essence to the song. Kris Yunker lends his classy key playing to bring a charged feel to the music’s very soul. Though this is the first single from The All’s Eye, it is far from Ari Joshua’s debut run. It creates the perfect breeze for movement, while portraying instrumental mastery. Listen to the song here:
