This is rock that makes the trip worthwhile, with music from Tom Minor, MASHA and Loose Cannons. Listen to their latest singles here and follow them for more!:

Tom Minor-Next Stop Brixton

Look, Tom Minor makes music that’s worth thinking about, as much as it is for grooving to. His latest album is here, called Ten New Toe-Tappers for Shoplifting and Self-Mutilation. I don’t expect you to be doing either because the only actual crime you’re doing is not listening to these songs. Tom Minor shines bright in Next Stop Brixton; almost a wait for years coming to an end with the tempo of the train engine. The riff is simple, a chord progression over which some delectable guitar licks shine through. I loved how the harmonies in the pre-chorus bring that joyous feeling. It’s a reminder of a song you haven’t listened to but will often be revisiting, like your newest flame. You’re just in time for having this to yourself for Valentine’s Day:

MASHA-Gold Guns Girls

MASHA’s Spotify bio says, for the ones who feel deeply. It’s something you cannot agree with more, because the music moves you so. Gold Guns Girls is externally presented as a trope to rock tracks but holds a groove better than your latest expensive vinyl. MASHA and her band are able to give you a funky track that sits like The Strokes overlooking the skyline of NYC. From her vocals to how the bassline places you in a mood immediately, this is an addictive single. Quick tempo shaves off all that ennui; MASHA’s vocals are absolutely incredible through the song, the rhythm being something she’s totally able to own. The band gives you an instrumental rush with their virtuosic playing, staying in the pocket for a song that is so reliant on the flow. Check it out:

Loose Cannons-Writing On The Wall

From when this song starts with that ethereal tone, you’re dialed in as a listener. Loose Cannons have always had an altruistic approach to playing their music, live instruments moving their way like a creek in the wild does. It is that appreciation for a theme that you can hear in all their songs. Writing On The Wall is no different. With a simple, steady pace, the song has a gentle, floating background over which soft vocals glide. None of the instrumental choices are what you’d be able to predict. The guitar tone changing in the chorus is a rush to the composition, on which the vocal harmonies take a whole other pattern. From how the arpeggios present themselves to the bright, alleviating tune composed, the writing is on the wall for how prolific this band is:
