Rusty Reid-Piece of the Action

Good time rock and roll returns. Rusty Reid has stayed and travelled many places, and that shows in how he approaches rock. From his songwriting style to effective melodies, it’s almost like you’re shotgun with him on an incredible journey. His song Piece of the Action from his latest album The Unreasonables has some steaming tempo. It’s the kind of tone in which you can feel the whole band come together as one, all simpatico. The tone, the riff and overall flow of the song shows decades of experience and an undying passion to let it rock, no matter what is playing when. You’re subjected to a treat of a double album, not just a few tracks. This is your long drive all in one, and you can thank Rusty for the tunes:

Peter Riley Osborne & The Truckstop Handshakes-Don’t Worry (I Need You)

That’s what I call a smooth criminal. From the moment you hit play on this song, you’re transported to the sweet notes that teleport you elsewhere. Peter Riley and his band create a miraculous melody that sustains the mood. With minimal chord progressions lingering, he is able to bring a sweet, silken series of notes to brandish quite the visual. As much as it is enriched in storytelling, Peter Riley Osborne & The Truckstop Handshakes feel a certain essence in their performance that is able to express the narrative so much better. From Trouble to Fight Song for Lovers, this musician’s raspy voice stays on for long after the song is over. It’s a powerful tune for sure, with a bluesy country pairing that needs each other to give us something this good:

Riverlabs-Fractured Truth

Equal parts experimental and visionary. Riverlabs is your entry into a secret project you never thought you had the right listening to. His song Fractured Truth is a vision of a far away land, and the architect and musician Cristian Ríos Gallucci shuttles you on a journey to this strange place. With powerful, ringing notes opening the song, electronica aspects have a fusion with phasers to make something that is EDM but rocks in how it has been composed. The structure is effective and thrilling, a dramatic entourage of notes following you. This is how you expect futuristic music to sound, part human and bionic coming together in one present reality. Riverlabs has a lot of tunes on Fractured Reality-Human Code. This is something you need to get embedded into:
