Launch into the week with more thrilling indie rock ft. Dopamine Machine, Rupert Träxler & Lawrence Timoni. Listen to the kind of gems we have in store with you!:

The Party After-Blast Off

Let’s first congratulate the band on accurate advertising. Their opening single from their album is what you’re listening to, and it we’re doing exactly that. Distortion up, fuzz way up and a quick tempo will yank you out of boredom to something impactful. The riff is driving, unique and yet has all the retro flavours of the kind of rock you grew up with. Blast Off is a perfect opening song, and even better kind of rock rhythm to absorb. Vocals have to match that flavourful riff, so they come in carrying the same kind of heat. I’m reminded of Chris Cornell’s voice in Audioslave in this track, while perfecting the buzz and flow for their first full length album. The Party After are the band your kids will be inspired by:

Rupert Träxler- The Journey

This Austrian guitarist has been tugging at my heartstrings since I heard his newer single, Darkness. When I listen to The Journey, I’m shown how evocative of a songwriter Rupert is. Soft guitar strings caress the vocal elements to create something memorable. Harmonics ease in like a soft daytime tide. It’s almost like listening to a melodic poem, where Rupert Träxler aims to take you on exactly what he promises; a journey. When the rock punch starts, there are more layers to absorb. Rupert has been able to capture the epiphany and experience of a journey-exactly the kind of spirit you can admire from an experienced songwriter. We’re sure there’s more to come from this talented multi-instrumentalist. Listen to his music here and join us on a voyage through music:

Lawrence Timoni-Velvet Bite

The man with the most unpredictable rhythm. Lawrence Timoni is always a thrill to listen to. You’re going to get a treat of baroque melodies, unique lyrical approaches and a dramatic envelope that is a savoury slice of everything you have missed. Velvet Bite is the latest in the catalogue, with something of a Halloween feel. The funky groove melds with the string section to make a track that will sink its teeth into you like the earworm it is. The multi-instrumentalist has been able to picture and craft the sound of something that is sharp, cutting and vicious. Remind you of something? He’s really got it with the kind of transitions from the verse to the chorus; glowing with the kind of sinister intention you might expect from the protagonist:
