Put a fun spin on your week with indie rock featuring Rusty Reid, Once Great Estate and Citizen Smith. Listen to their music and follow them for more!:
Rusty Reid- All Through My Days
Rusty Reid brings country rock from a lot of places straight to one place. This is who you call 'songwriter royalty': someone who lives and breathes through their music. "All Through My Days" is a track from his album "Lone Stardust", a triple album stacked with beautiful country tunes. Composed by Connie Mims and Vince Bell, this song represents time through an elegant symphony. This entire collection has Srusti Reid admiring the work of some of the greatest songwriters of Texas. He does real justice to the song by reviving its rich melodies and breathing a lively, stirring vocal essence to it. The background in the verse section is minimal, leading to Rusty’s voice shining in the spotlight. This twists the crown of time through the days:
Once Great Estate-Don’t Have to Follow
I don't see one long drive where a song like this wouldn't be a perfect opener. Once Great Estate was formed by Tracy Horenbein. She and her band have created incredible chemistry through their mutual love for storytelling, songwriting, and the daze that melodies can bring you. As the middle of their album "Lullabies for Lesser Wits", this song has a gentle, soothing charm to it. The visuals she constructs while the acoustic guitar plays brightly in the background are nothing short of picturesque. Harmonies bind the keywords as they splatter in a palette across your mind. The lack of percussion puts the woven magic of Tracy's voice at the nucleus of the song. It is like listening to a moving painting while the breeze serenades you into another dream. The kind of dream I'd like to follow:
Citizen Smith- Good Times
I have never felt euphoria from a song the way I have since I listened to Citizen Smith. Listening to ‘Good Times’ reminded me why bands make music in the first place. From their album called "Somewhere Between Leaving", Citizen Smith come together to write music that incites emotion from the entire spectrum. From their lyrics to the kind of tempo they have chosen, this song represents the rush that people chase their entire lives. ‘Good Times’ banks on a familiar beat so that your mind can hone in on the poetic, poignant lyrics. It is the kind of beat that mirrors the familiar humming engine of your car as you cruise down the highway. The kind of release that comes from the chorus section is not something words can define. I'll let your ears do the judging.
