Indie rock gets a unique trifecta with hits from Righthandwave, & Deltawelle

Flow through a spectrum of colours with our indie rock picks this week with Righthandwave, myah & Deltawelle. Check out our special collection here and give them a follow:

Righthandwave-Hang On

Miss the surf rock days? I know you do, because relaxing to music with the essence of salty sea breeze is an amazing memory trigger. Righthandwave have the potion, the solution and most importantly, the sound. Hang On is the kind of sound you immediately get addicted to, like listening to the opening of INXS. Grooves strong, move along, when you have rock like this delivered straight to your ear canal! The tones are fixed perfectly for the kind of vibe you want to drive along to, while parts of the chorus are designed to have that retro flow. There is no new indie band, this is experienced retro radio waves reaching you, so might as well just hang on!:

myah-The Lobby

Designed aurally to connect with the inner chambers of your mind, myah is back. Her soft pop rock song is like your favourite book rediscovered, while you curl up with coffee and a doughnut. Her vocals sharp, yet mellow, myah creates a song that reminisces about the wait, a state of limbo you never want to be in. In her choice of writing poetic lyrics, she makes a deliberate attempt to connect to her vulnerable side. This is heartbreak eulogy, sonic mastery and visual artistry of a level that is beyond our years. With The Lobby, myah is able to distill what a state of mind is like with a song and the feeling behind it. Go ahead, take a seat in the waiting lounge:

Deltawelle-My Own God

The new wave years will always remain new for the fans of the genre. This is a phase of rock which can transcend the sound of the time. Deltawelle bring their unique roots and approach with their music, and My Own God challenges the tropes. The way they climb the sound, strap a GoPro to the chest of your soul and push you downhill is amazing. Deltawelle don’t give you the base groove that easy, they go around the prediction to give you an experience that is memorable. The quartet approaches singing in English as compared to their German catalogue of music. It’s like they took life into their own terms, composed their own music from what rocks their mind, and made their own God in melody:
