Feel the mood for the month with an incredible spell of music from And The Broken, Svarp the Harp & Michellar. Listen to their music here and flow to the track here:
And The Broken-Running Out of Time
Let the genre not speak for the music. And The Broken is a band that has a very wide range of interests in composing and listening to music. The same definitely reflects in the refracting vessel of creating tunes that they have dedicated their talents to. Running Out of Time brings that country essence to the track with an emotive core. The instrumentation is perfect in intonation-adding a lot of character to the narrative. For a band that has changed colour through their EPs (in sound and character)-they are able to create a large radius in range and dynamic style. The easygoing breeze of the track is tangible in the tune overall. From Puttin’ Out Fires to this track, you can see how the collective is able to harness more than a sound:
Svarp the Harp-Hoochie Coochie Man
Bringing Muddy back, in his own way. Svarp the Harp is a virtuosic harp player, and there’s no questioning it. Paired with his incredible voice, there is a swing to his music that might definitely remind you of all those retro radio years. His cover of this classic is the kind of kick you need to listen to hit reset on your day-if not week. The slow jam is something you’ll stick like honey and become the earworm to live by. He was born to play the blues and bring the tunes. Tracks like Gib mir mehr vom Bier can show you exactly how well this man can bring a certain edge. As a duo, Svarp the Harp are able to power a great old jam into this click:
Michellar-September
Michellar is an artist who has steadily been progressing in the indie world. The prolific musician is always expressing her ideas through music, and September captures the essence of the season and month with grace. Gentle in the opening, there is a breath of fresh air that you’re treated to the moment the song begins. Piano notes, slide guitar and soft finger style movements form the palette of what has been prepared. As the song progresses, you can hear soft percussions echo in the background. Michelle Bond has formed a generous connection with music with inspiring give and take. September will become the acoustic mood of the season, while reverberating with joy and mirth. The dynamic range in her vocals with Helen Walford are something to behold, listen to the song here:
