I don't like naming genres, but I'm deeply in love with whatever this is. Lovers in Reverse shows Emerald Park pinching time by its ends for a song that is all emotion and feel. The choice of instruments to the tempo that very nearly matches your heartbeat is something your mind just locks into. There are these effervescent, beautiful muted notes that play in the background, something you can hear only if you really listen and care. It shows Tobias really understanding the most intimate moments in life and capturing what makes it special melodically. You could call this indie pop but you would not be doing justice to the textured ambience that carries the song. Kallai, Hexxes – Another World (Hexxes Remix)

I could have chosen any song from this album, and it would have the same effect. There is a command over the shoegaze pop instinct that Kallai has, which nobody else is able to fabricate. Though I have heard a version of this song before, the Hexxes remix allows you to float in that spatial atmosphere. From the album “Forever Could Never Be”, this track especially made me feel like the wheels of my car were gliding on dense air. The choice of minimal instruments along with that echoing reverb effect really adds to the tension and progression of the song. The vocals have an anchor in one line which blurs away in the background yet adds to this very cinematic, dramatic effect. You might not know a lot more, but you will definitely be transported to another world:
