Fia Nyxx-Dreamer’s Alibi
Here's a retro film reel with fresh new music from Fia Nyxx. Yes, you almost read that right. Just like a phoenix, her music emerges with glamour and style. Her latest single "Dreamer’s Alibi" features her incredible songwriting, with Samjgarfield assisting her on the composition. Locked and loaded with a deep groove, this is something that doesn't follow the traditional pop direction and instead showcases Fia's vocal range as well as versatility in singing. The devil is in the details, with the baseline being a pivotal part of the natural tempo of the song. Percussions feel like a heartbeat, letting the song progress in its own organic fluidic way. There's no way you can't picture an early '90s pop track in the way that Fia has approached this song. For her return after 2 years, this phoenix has definitely risen:
Wholes-Berlin
Remember when the world lost it when Cyberpunk 2077 launched? There were certain tracks that were pivotal to a late-night drive in that game. This band should be an honorary member on their permanent playlist. "Berlin" captures the essence of the place for whoever hasn't visited it and becomes a nostalgic flashback for those who have. There's a dark electro-punk atmosphere all around this music, along with the industrial bite of steel you've heard in music from Nine Inch Nails or Marilyn Manson. Instruments purposely take routes off-tune, while the jarring layers will transport you to a club that hasn't been visited in years. The distortion on the bass and feedback on the vocal filter. Place it precisely in the middle of the theme the band is trying to set. With other tracks like "Eazy for You" and "The Moment" becoming part of their 2026 catalogue, we're ready for a big announcement from Wholes:
Mister Chorister- You’re Not Listening
Mister Chorister is music for those who are prepared to experiment with sonic leaps. It's the alternative rock project of Australian-born, London-based musician Christopher Scott Brammer. With two songs like "Spark" and "Brave" flooding colour into his brand-new catalogue, the latest track "You’re Not Listening" becomes part of the tempo and an integral part of the tale. From the opening guitar part to how the vocals come in, there’s nothing from the orthodox music composition playbook you can see here. The mix is impeccable as well, as the instruments and vocals are layered perfectly, to taste like a Michelin-star plated dish. Easily one of the strongest offerings from Mister Chorister and his attempt to reconnect with a disappearing era of songwriting. That chorus is something I feel a lot of live shows are going to have sung back to this fantastic artist:
