Tantalising tones reverberate with indie rock 3 in 1 featuring Kinsley, Fiona Amaka & Attack the Sound. Listen to the music here and follow these entertaining artists!:
Kinsley-Ruin
Feel the ambience tense up around you. Four best friends found their common love in music. From their latest EP Demons, comes the opening single, Ruin. It is an incredibly well tailored and heavy piece. Putting together their talents in composition, Ruin is the chugging, muddy metal that excavates and revives itself. Unlike many of their contemporaries, there are synth leads flowing into the gain heavy guitar. Minus the screaming, and some parts sound like slower Children of Bodom+Mastodon songs. It has the “it” factor that would inspire a youn gun to pick up the guitar. How the song builds becomes the most exciting part, where you know you’ll have to stop the car. Headbanging while driving? Wrong turn:
Fiona Amaka-No Daylight
The indie rock aura of Fiona Amaka is always a comforter in the rain. Her vocals create a cushion of carefree execution combined with spirited rhythm parts. The Different singer is testing her versatile execution style once again, and No Daylight is as inspirational as it is melancholy in parts. It shows her skill in picking up the theme of a song, and delivering something that will ring around in your head for days. Though her vocals are strong and clear, she is able to deliver the lyrics with great dexterity. She is a bona fide musician who represents the music that made her. Now she inspires others who want to make more:
Attack the Sound-Favourite Things
Smooth R&B that is schnapps for your soul. That is what Attack the Sound can bring. Ideally, I would like to listen to and gush over a band’s original music. Remember Favourite Things from The Sound of Music (1965)? This is a cover of that song, but with ATS bringing their sonically slick execution. Frontman and veteran Davo Sounds represents the silken class of Chicago with this band, and its more than merry. His soft vocals slide like butter over the rich instrumental harmonies. There is a hint of minimalism that pushes the musicality so well-its hard to explain. Good music and even better execution? Well, that’s some of my favourite things:
