Lazywall-Invincible

Our favourite stars of metal are back, and they’re gifting us an EP this time. From their collection called Tighaline, Lazywall have been churning true demonic bliss from the time we heard them last. With unique Arabic time signatures giving them a swing-the metal you hear is a new forge and new alloy. Though it's a two-note riff that opens up the song, it devolves into something of a pop punk track-like you’re listening to Sum-41 or blink-182. I was reminded of the 90s rock wave where a strong verse section, bellowing chorus and crisp sound are an envelope to a higher quality. The next song Reality is another well of sound that you feel like diving into for its distinct effect-Lazywall are now their own pedigree:

Nothing Concrete-Broken Bird

You’ll hear the chirp of truth from this winged beauty. Nothing Concrete have an album that is more of a storybook than anything to do with music. Based in France, the collective is able to weave through a different range of genres-folk, funk, cumbia, swing, and soul. Perhaps their characteristic to not want to set in any mould is what makes them so refreshing and outstanding. When you start listening to the melodies that represent so many different styles-you’re taken aback at the level of detail and passion that Nothing Concrete are able to display in the audio stage.  You’re listening to a lively orchestra-a conclave of passion in one song, while I urge you to explore the album as much as you can:

Belling the Tiger-Devil’s Lure

There’s nothing more dangerous than this project’s idea. Belling a tiger is beyond anyone’s wildest dreams, but not if you’re someone who dares. With music that dares to expand into so many different avenues and declares its reign-we listen to Devil’s Lure. It is a highlight of the EP Let the Rain for me, for it expands on a scale that is extremely visual in its outcome. The tone of the guitar along with how the run of the virtuosic melody takes place is vivid. As the vocals unfold, you can hear the instrumentals build to deft detail in the background. Like listening to early Kansas-there are several layers to unfold and discover what the music is trying to ensnare you within. Welcome to the devil’s lure:
