This rock will restart your week with brilliant music from Nick J Harvey, Ho Jo Fro & The Crystal Teardrop. Listen to their exploratory music here:
Nick J Harvey-Careful with the Bacon, Steven
Remember the classic rock that serenaded you through radio waves through the 80s and 90s? That nostalgia effervescence is locked in a crystal bottle for you, by Nick J Harvey. His brilliant instrumental melodies lead you on to an experience unlike any other, creating an ambience that is equivalent to caramel coffee in a cup. The slide guitar moments are stylized, carrying a narrative that is abstract enough, but directs you to a pocket that you might not expect. Phased guitar elements have a psychedelic charm to them–not just forced there, but another puzzle in the middle of this amazing mosaic. It is an instrumental delight that screams road trip, so grab your gloves, driving goggles and get the sunroof open:
Ho Jo Fro-Timidly Free
You might be misdirected by how this song begins-almost a Van Halen kick to it. Ho Jo Fro has crafted the perfect single that is part poetry and melodic magic. The layers and play between instruments and vocals is amazing, charged extremely well and flows like a creek through a forest of sorcery. The way instruments slide in and craft the nook that is the chorus is delightful. It is positivity in a parcel, making a wondrous, thematic delight that is in every way the signature of the band. I Am Here and I Know are some other singles you have to listen to, continue the journey into the creative crèche. Mastered and produced perfectly, I would give this song the shiny badge of being one of their best, ever:
The Crystal Teardrop-Colours Changing
I would like to preface by saying that the band has made a spellbinding album with …Is Forming. It is not an aural experience alone, but a mural made for the mind–a mosaic formed through secretive symphony. Playing Colours Changing alone will taper your experience into a wormhole that explodes into several other melodic universes. Though they keep a retro aesthetic, they know how to push the envelope of expectations with their strengths. Chemistry is like the refracting edges of the crystal they are, forming the perfect shape to change colours. The band has taken a time capsule back to where the secrets of the genres were being revealed. Now, you get to experience their revelation like it’s your own song:
