Rob Cunningham-Carrownisky Strand

You’re getting treated to singer-songwriter soul. Rob Cunningham is a musician with spirit and approaches song with his soul. His latest EP, Carrownisky Strand, brings some refreshing instrumental poetry with Cunningham’s rich compositions standing out. We’re looking at the title track of the album, Carrownisky Strand. It brings the scenic speciality of the famous surfing beach with painted waves and a gentle, inviting breeze. His storytelling is as personal as it gets, placing the protagonist's spotlight as he journeys. Throughout the song and album, you’re shown what pen-and-paper songwriting looks like. This might have been strange to say earlier, but we live in a time when this effort adds to all the difference a song’s approach can make. Rob Cunningham shows us the detail and essence he is able to bring with instrumental breaks, and express the story in a brilliant way:

Estrada Music Project-Looking out the window 

We have always explored Estrada Music Project as a moonlighting passion growing legs and standing tall. Looking out the Window is the latest single from this talented individual, who is a one-man band and produces all this music. As the gentle rays of the sun seep in slowly through your window, this is the song that plays as prose in the background. It expands melodically like a post-grunge track, with a droning essence in the background that keeps you tied to the song. I love the use of synth and strong percussions on this one; it makes for a steady tempo that you can associate with it as the expansive acoustic guitar becomes the soothing background of the track. Looking out the window is not just an appreciation for the present but looking forward to what will come in the future: 

The Del-Viles-Don’t Hang Around 

Don’t you love a great purpose you can truly get behind? This is what I found on The Del-Viles’ Bandcamp: One hundred per cent of digital sales for this album are going to rent assistance until our neighbours are safe here. If the songs were treated as just “compassion pieces”, it would have driven the feeling much further. Instead, a wide range of rock with versatile delivery is what is given to us with their album, “It’s Just a Kiss-Off”. The Del-Viles make a rock swing and vibe something easy to capture in a click with their music. The group from Minneapolis, Minnesota, has a catalogue that is worth obsessing over, with well-crafted bluesy garage rock released with a great mix rather than pumping-out algorithm-teasing singles monthly:
