Rock through the drive with riff hungry music ft. THEHERO, Golem Dance Cult & Voltstorm. Listen to the songs here with us and follow for more!:
THEHERO-The Howitzer
You have one opportunity to impress, and this is what plays. THEHERO is just an introvert persona with extrovert musicality that projects a dimension not for us mere mortals. The Howitzer is the kind of song that makes your list once in a few months-and stays there forever. A charge lasts in the opening riff that explodes into the melody, while Oli Law treats us to his melodic, powerful vocals. It is a splendid track from start to finish, amplified by his strength and vision for composing electric rock. The tempo is the alt-rock heartbeat, with a build that will remind you of why you started listening to this genre. He’s describing a weapon, and this the attack you get to bank on:
Golem Dance Cult-Call of the Wendigo
As we’re in riff heaven, let me introduce you to another champion. The way Golem Dance Cult command a rhythm is unlike their contemporaries. Each track sounds like a blanket of psychedelia combined with electro melodies and electric instrument mastery. From their album Shamanic Faultlines, GDC are able to fuse several eras of rock to make something that can be individually traced to them. They use space to their advantage, that mini vacuum before the riff hits you again. Charles Why and Laur have made sure their experiences with other bands has finally amalgamated into agency that is palpable. If this is the goth rock indie swing they are able to bring, count me in every week:
Voltstorm-Judas
When the rock gods descended, Voltstorm were given a choice. They made the right one, for this is an album that is blessed by the gods. Break the Silence has a lot of songs that define the present of hard rock-but a special something drew me to Judas. Like Scorpions, there is something behind the making of that riff that makes it incredibly special to pursue. Voltstorm bring all their energy and passion for making music to craft something that salutes their inspirations yet reflect a certain desire to find their own way. Each pocket is detailed with passion, the guitar is loud and energizing-claiming a spot in some of the most power packed hard rock acts you’ll see in the indie scene today. Keep your faith:
